• Hải Châu district

  Hải Châu was an urban district (quận) of Da Nang in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam. Since districts were abolished in 2025, it ceased to exist. Its northern wards were rearranged into Hải Châu ward, while the southern wards were rearranged into Hòa Cường ward. It was the administrative, cultural and commercial center of the city. The municipal hall, theater and central market are located in what used to be Hải Châu district. Da Nang International Airport is also located on the boundary of Hải Châu district and just about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) away from the district's center. Hải Châu district and Khuê Trung Ward of Cẩm Lệ District, which was separated from Hải Châu district to form Cẩm Lệ district in 2005, was called District I (Quận Nhứt) in the Republic of Vietnam period.

• Duy Tan University

  Duy Tân University (Vietnamese: Đại học Duy Tân) is a private research university in Da Nang, Vietnam. The name derives from the Modernisation Movement, or phong trào Duy Tân, of 1906–1908. In 2019, the school was awarded the "First Class Labor Medal" ("Huân chương Lao động hạng Nhất"). Duy Tân University cooperates with many international universities and in 2023/2024 appears in globally/internationally university rankings as the highest ranked Vietnamese university.

• Da Nang Air Base

  Da Nang Air Base (Vietnamese: Căn cứ không quân Đà Nẵng) also known as Da Nang Airfield, Tourane Airfield or Tourane Air Base is a former French Air Force and later Republic of Vietnam Air Force (RVNAF) facility located in the city of Da Nang, Vietnam. During the Vietnam War (1959–1975), it was a major base with United States Army, United States Air Force (USAF), and United States Marine Corps (USMC) units stationed there. Air Vietnam also used the facility from 1951 to 1975 for civilian domestic and international flights within Southeast Asia.

• Da Nang

  Da Nang (Vietnamese: Đà Nẵng, pronounced [ɗa˨˩ naŋ˨˩˦ˀ], also written unspaced as Danang), is the fourth largest city in Vietnam by population and the second largest by geographical area and located in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands. As one of the country's nine centrally-governed city, it falls under the administration of the central government. Da Nang's port and its location on National Route 1 and the North–South Railway makes it a transport hub. APEC 2017 was hosted in Da Nang. Da Nang has a Human Development Index of 0.800 (very high), ranking fifth among all municipalities and provinces of Vietnam. The city was known as Cửa Hàn (Hàn River Estuary) during Đại Việt period when it was a small settlement, and as Tourane (or Turon) during French colonial rule between 1884 and 1945. Before 1997, the city was part of Quang Nam–Da Nang province. On 1 January 1997, Da Nang was separated from Quảng Nam province to become one of the centrally controlled municipalities. Da Nang is designated as a first class city. In a proposal announced in April 2025, which came into force starting 1 July that year, the new Da Nang city was formed by reabsorbing Quảng Nam whilst maintaining its political and administrative centres.

• Thanh Khê district

  Thanh Khê is a former Da Nang urban district in Vietnam's South Central Coast area. The district has a total size of 9 km2 and a population of 160,953 people in 2003. The district capital lies at Xuân Hà ward. There are ten wards (phường) in the district: An Khê Chính Gián Tam Thuận Tân Chính Thạc Gián Hòa Khê Xuân Hà Vĩnh Trung Thanh Khê Đông Thanh Khê Tây

• Đà Nẵng station

  Đà Nẵng station is one of the main railway stations on the North–South Railway (Reunification Express) in Vietnam and one of the five largest stations in Vietnam. It serves the city of Đà Nẵng. Đà Nẵng station is one of the three largest train stations of Vietnam serving daily trains from the north to the south and vice versa that stop for long enough for a relatively large number of passengers to get on or off. The facilities of Đà Nẵng station are relatively modern, secure and hygienic. Besides North–South routes, the station serves provincial routes such as to Huế, Quảng Bình, Vinh, Quy Nhon, and Ho Chi Minh City. Passengers have diverse options with different classes to any of these stations: odd numbers (E1, S1, S3, S5, S7 and SD1) go from the north to the south coded, even numbers (E2, S2, S4, S6 and S8) go from the south to the north.

• Museum of Cham Sculpture

  The Museum of Cham Sculpture (Vietnamese: Bảo tàng Điêu khắc Chăm) is a museum located in Hải Châu District, Đà Nẵng, central Vietnam, near the Han River. The establishment of a Cham sculpture museum in Da Nang was first proposed in 1902 by the Department of Archaeology of EFEO. Henri Parmentier, a prominent archaeologist of the department, made great contributions to the campaign for its construction. Reportedly founded in 1915 as the Musée Henri Parmentier, its first building opened in 1919 and was designed by two French architects, M. Deleval and M. Auclair, who were inspired by Parmentier to use some traditional Cham elements in the composition. Prior to the establishment of the museum, the site was known as the "garden of sculptures" and many Cham sculptures that had been collected in Da Nang, Quảng Nam and elsewhere had been brought there over the preceding twenty years. The museum has been expanded twice. The first expansion was in the mid-1930s, with two new galleries providing display space for the objects added in the 1920s and 1930s. Henri Parmentier directed the display based on the areas where sculptures were found. The 1000 meter square of floor space was arranged for the collections of Mỹ Sơn, Trà Kiệu, Đồng Dương, Tháp Mẫm, Quang Tri, Quảng Ngãi, Bình Định and Kon Tum. In 2002, the Museum was again expanded with the two-story building providing an additional 1000 square meters. The new building provides not only space for display, but also for storage, a library, a restoration workshop and offices for staff. Before 2007, the Museum was managed by Da Nang Museums, an administrative organ in charge of the city's museums and heritage. In 2008 it became affiliated with the city Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism. The museum houses the world's largest collection of Cham sculpture and is a popular tourist destination.

• Chi Lăng Stadium (1954)

  Chi Lăng Stadium (Vietnamese: Sân vận động Chi Lăng) was a multi-purpose stadium in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam. Built on the banks of the Hàn River in 1954, the stadium played host to a number of memorable games, most notably Vietnam's 3–2 win over China at the 2000 AFC U-17 Championship, featuring goals from future star Phạm Văn Quyến. The stadium was also used for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2016 Asian Beach Games. The stadium was the home stadium of SHB Đà Nẵng of the V-League until 2016, when the club moved to the Hòa Xuân Stadium. The stadium was due to be demolished in early 2018 to make way for two 33-storey blocks of flats, but that effectively never happened and the stadium lies in an abandoned state, with trees growing in the stands.
